La Maritxu

We are a Basque family consisting of three sisters: Maria, who lives in Quito, Almudena, who lives in London and myself, Lucia, who also lives in London. For many years, my sisters and I dreamed of bringing a piece of Basque culture to our new homes abroad. We soon realised that one of the best things about Basque culture is its gastronomy. And so, in 2021, La Martixu was born.  We produce traditional Basque cheesecake, with a burnt caramelized crust and rich & creamy interior in London.
